The Fly-Fishing Classics Series
If you read enough modern fishing books, especially fly-fishing books, you will soon begin to encounter the literatures "great names," those writers from the previous few centuries whose works are now seen as being of almost scriptural power, either for their good advice or their philosophical wisdom. This series of compact books, each highlighting the works of one of these angling giants from the past two centuries, is a superb introduction to some of fly fishing's most distinctive and influential voices. Historian Paul Schullery chose the most relevant authors and studied their works to select the most durable and still useful material to be included in each volume. All six books in the series are available in inexpensive clothbound editions.
